THE HEALTHCARE MARKET and HOW WE PLAY IN IT…

The Healthcare market in Puerto Rico has experienced various drastic changes in the manner of which healthcare services are delivered, because of the implementation of the Healthcare Reform. This decentralization of services by the central government has intensified competition in the private sector and has presented additional cost constraints which directly affect vendors and providers.

The markets that UMECO serves as a sales & marketing partner are:

The Hospital:
A direct sales force provides products and services to all acute care facilities in the public, federal government, and private sector.

The Physician:
A direct sales force and a telemarketing team provides focused specialized products and services to all office practices.

The Home Health Care Providers:
A direct sales force provides products and services to all Home Health Care Providers under Medicare and private insurance coverage.

CUSTOMER SERVICE PERFORMANCE

UMECO Inc. recognizes the importance of improving operational processes to meet the increasing demand of its customers. It also recognizes the need to measure its activities to identify necessary changes in these processes.

UMECO Inc. has implemented an ACCESS based software program to measure its logistics operation and delivery performance. This program evaluates the order cycle time from order, picking date to delivery date.

The monthly report includes all orders delivered during a specific time frame. It details the order number, invoice number, customer number, customer name, order date, picking date, and customer receiving date. Dates within the picking date and the receiving date provide useful information in determining loopholes within the order cycle.
