Microtainer Brand Tubes are designed for the collection, transport and processing of skin puncture blood from infants, children, geriatric patients and critical care patients. Samples collected in Microtainer Brand Tubes yield reliable results, avoiding the need for repeat collections. The unique “twist-assist” Microgard Closure - an engineering-control design - significantly reduces blood spatter upon removal, in comparison with other tube closures. To simplify additive and sample identification, tubes are color-coded in a manner similiar to evacuated tubes. Volume level lines, printed on most tubes, ensure proper blood-to-anticoagulant ratio.
