Surgical Tapes & Wraps

UMECO recommends 3M's full line of surgical tapes: 3M's Micropore
surgical tape, the dependable choice for a general purpose paper tape; 3M's
Medipore soft cloth surgical tape and pre-cut dressing covers, the soft,
stretchy, conformable tape products that are easy to use and easy on skin;
3M's Transpore surgical tape, the transparent, easy to tear plastic tape for securing
dressings or devices and 3M's Durapore surgical tape, the "silk-like" cloth tape with strong
adhesion for securing dressings and devices.

Transpore Surgical Tape

This preferred plastic tape is transparent perforated
polyethylene film with bi-directional tear, strong adhesion,
and is hypoallergenic. It allows for visualization of the
skin. Transpore tape is easy to tear into very thin strips
for NICU patients and easy to use even with gloves.

Micropore Surgical Tape

Micropore tape is excellent for repeated applications on
sensitive skin and elderly patients. It allows for moisture
evaporation and skin to breathe and leaves minimal
adhesive residue upon removal. Micropore tape is
available in a dispenser pack for easy tear and
convenience. Excellent for general-purpose taping.
It is available in white or tan.

Durapore Surgical Tape

This "silk-like" tape is the most economical, high-strength,
high-adhesion tape and is hypoallergenic. It is an
easy-to-use general-purpose tape. It is excellent for
securing regular and bulky dressings, tubing, and
immobilization. Durapore tape is breathable,
conformable, and has
bi-directional tearing.

Scotchcast Plus casting tape

A lightweight, strong and durable casting tape that
combines the benefits of a fiberglass casting tape with
the handling ease of plaster. Available in 12 colors to
meet patient preferences.
